Χειροποίητα "Φρουτένια" Καπελάκια - DIY Fruit and Veg Hats

Some onions and lettuces!

Cuting the Craft Paper and starting the paper boat out of craft paper.

Making the base, as you see it is one stage before we complete a paper boat.

Covering with coloured crepe paper for our oranges!

The hats for our Oranges have their leaves attached!

Hi everyone,

It's been such a long time since my last post, mainly because my crafting mojo had gone on holiday and my mood was not at its very best. In that period Christmas came and left, New Year's Eve, a number of other Greek Namedays and holidays and I'm left thinking I should get my act, or ehm, should I say my crafting together.... In this post I'm showing you my inspiration from Craftventure Time. As the traditional Greek Carnival is round the corner, I was given a task...to make 50 fruit and veggie-like hats...o.k....how do you do that???????????????

Went online and found Craftventure, did my craft paper boats out of 50cmx60cm pieces and covered them all up in crepe paper....Using only a pair of scissors, a ruler, a stapler, some heavy-weight paper for the leaves and the top of my orange-looking hats, a glue gun and some scotch-tape, it took me some time to figure it out, but I'm ready to go...

So if you are looking for original costumes just think about it and try it out! I have 5 tomatoes to go, a couple of dried onions and my collections is set!!!!

Thank you for stopping by,

Happy Crafting!
